Team Info Toolkit
The Team Info toolkit lets agents look up members of the team assigned to the current project: total member count, or search by name, email, or user id. There is no API key — it uses the signed-in user’s session and the project’s team setting.
Add it on the agent Toolkits tab, ensure the project has a team assigned, then reference tools with @ in the personality prompt.
Prerequisites
- An agent you can edit
- The project must have a team selected under Project Settings → Project Configs → Project Team
- The agent must run in a project context
Setup
- Open the project → Settings → Project Configs.
- Under Project Team, select the team and save.
- Open the agent → Toolkits → add Team Info.
- Save and test with a member count or a name/email search.
Available tools
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
| Get Team Member Count | Returns how many members are on the project’s assigned team. |
| Search Team Members | Searches members by partial name, email, or user id (case-insensitive). Limit 1–50 (default 10). |
Search results can include fields such as name, email, department, company, last signed in, tags, and metadata when present on the user record.
Use cases
- Answer “how many people are on this team?”
- Find a teammate’s email from a partial name before inviting them to a project
- Resolve who matches a name mentioned in chat
Tips
- Scope is only the project’s assigned team — not the whole platform.
- Search matches user id, email, and name (not free-text over every metadata field).
- Results include personal data (emails, names). Enable this toolkit only when appropriate for the agent’s audience.
- To invite or change project membership, use project Members settings (or Autopilot Build flows that manage projects).
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Error about missing team | Assign a team under Project Settings → Project Configs → Project Team |
| Empty search results | Try another spelling; confirm the person is on that team |
| Wrong team’s members | Confirm the project’s assigned team is the one you expect |
| No project context | Run the agent inside a project |
