Box Toolkit
The Box toolkit lets agents search and browse files and folders, read and download content, upload files and versions, create folders and Box Notes, move/copy/delete items, create shared links, and add collaborators. Authentication is per-user OAuth.
Add it on the agent Toolkits tab. The first use prompts the user to connect Box if they have not already.
Prerequisites
- A Box account with access to the content the agent should use
- Box OAuth configured for your organization (admin)
- An agent you can edit
- Users must complete the Box OAuth connect flow when prompted
Setup
- Confirm an admin has configured Box OAuth (Client ID, Client Secret, redirect URI).
- Open the agent → Toolkits → add Box.
- Save the agent. In Chat, connect Box when prompted.

Use cases
- Find and summarize a document stored in Box
- Upload a generated report into a project folder
- Share a file link with a collaborator from chat
Tips
- Access is limited to what the connected Box user can see and edit.
- Prefer folder IDs from list/search results when paths are ambiguous.
- For Dropbox or Google Drive, use those toolkits instead.
Troubleshooting
