Connect SharePoint to the Knowledge Base
With the Microsoft SharePoint connector, you can bring your organization's SharePoint documents and libraries directly into the Knowledge Base. Once connected, EKB keeps your SharePoint content synced and fully searchable, making it accessible to your AI agents without copying files out of Microsoft 365.
Connecting to SharePoint
- Open Project Settings
In your EKB project, navigate to Settings in the sidebar.
- Go to Connections
Select the Connections tab and find the Microsoft SharePoint tile under Cloud Storage & Documentation.
- Open the SharePoint popup
Click the Microsoft SharePoint tile. A popup appears with the option to connect your organization's SharePoint to sync documents. Click + Connect SharePoint.
- Authenticate with Microsoft
You will be redirected to Microsoft to authenticate. Sign in with your Microsoft account and grant EKB the necessary permissions to access your SharePoint.
- Verify the connection
Once authenticated, you will be returned to the Connections page. The Microsoft SharePoint tile will display a green dot and a count of your active SharePoint connections.
Adding Documents from SharePoint
- Navigate to KB Data
In your EKB project, navigate to Knowledge Base > KB Data.
- Add a new URL
Click + New and select URL Upload.
- Paste the SharePoint URL
In the popup that appears, paste the URL of the SharePoint file, folder, or document library you want to add to the Knowledge Base, then click Add URL.
Once added, you'll receive a confirmation message. If you added a folder or library, EKB keeps it synced going forward — new files are picked up and removed files are cleaned out automatically on each sync.
Point SharePoint connections at specific folders or libraries rather than an entire site. It keeps syncs faster and makes it easier to control exactly what your agents can search.
