Hunter.io Toolkit

The Hunter.io Toolkit is a workflow node. Its tools include Search Domain Emails, Find Person's Email, Verify Email, Count Domain Emails, plus 11 more listed below. Create a connection before you use any of these tools. Type @ in a field when the value should come from an earlier step.

Authentication

Create a Hunter.io connection before you use any of these tools.

Copy an API key from Hunter.io

1. Sign in and open hunter.io/api-keys.
2. Copy the API key shown there.

Connect the key in EKB

1. On the first Hunter.io node, open Connection.
2. Click + New.
3. Enter a Connection Name.
4. Paste the API Key, or click the key button next to that field and select a vault key that already exists. If the key has not been created yet, add it first on the Datastore Vault tab.
5. Select the new connection in Select saved connection.

Other nodes for this toolkit in the same workflow reuse that connection. To use another connection on one node, choose Configure different connection for this step.

Enter token manually saves the same credentials on that node instead of a saved connection.

Search Domain Emails

Find email addresses known for a domain or company.

Field	Required	Description
Domain	No	Domain to find email addresses for, e.g. 'stripe.com'. Provide this OR company. If both are given, domain takes precedence. Type @ to select a variable.
Company	No	Company name to find email addresses for, e.g. 'stripe'. Providing domain instead gives better results. Type @ to select a variable.
Type	No	Restrict to 'personal' (a named person) or 'generic' (role-based, e.g. contact@) email addresses. Type @ to select a variable.
Seniority	No	Comma-delimited seniority filter. Valid values: 'junior', 'senior', 'executive'. Type @ to select a variable.
Department	No	Comma-delimited department filter. Valid values: 'executive', 'it', 'finance', 'management', 'sales', 'legal', 'support', 'hr', 'marketing', 'communication', 'education', 'design', 'health', 'operations', 'product', 'research', 'consulting', 'administrative', 'procurement'. Type @ to select a variable.
Decision Maker	No	True for only likely decision-makers (inferred from seniority/department), False for only explicitly non-decision-makers. Omit for no filter. Emails not yet classified match neither true nor false. Type @ to select a variable.
Job Titles	No	Comma-delimited job title(s) to match, e.g. 'CTO,VP Engineering'. Common executive titles match equivalents automatically (CTO ~ Chief Technology Officer). To target a whole tier of people, prefer seniority/department/decision_maker instead of listing titles. Type @ to select a variable.
Required Field	No	Comma-delimited field(s) each returned email must have. Valid values: 'full_name', 'position', 'phone_number'. Type @ to select a variable.
Verification Status	No	Comma-delimited verification status filter. Valid values: 'valid', 'accept_all', 'unknown'. Type @ to select a variable.
Location	No	Include or exclude locations by continent, business region, country, state, or city. Type @ to select a variable.
Aggregations	No	Set true to include a meta.aggregations breakdown (department counts, decision-maker count, personal/generic split) reflecting the filters applied. Omitted from the response entirely when there are 0 results, even if requested. Type @ to select a variable.
Limit	No	Max emails to return (default 10 server-side, max 100). Free plans cap limit+offset at 10 total — do not set this unless you need to change the default; sending even a smaller-than-default value can 400 on some plans. Type @ to select a variable.
Offset	No	Number of emails to skip, used with limit for pagination. Omit unless paginating. Type @ to select a variable.

Find Person's Email

Find the most likely email address for a named person at a company.

Field	Required	Description
Domain	No	Domain of the company, e.g. 'reddit.com'. Provide this, OR company, OR linkedin_handle. Type @ to select a variable.
Company	No	Company name, if domain is not known. Providing domain gives better results. Type @ to select a variable.
LinkedIn Handle	No	LinkedIn profile handle to find the email for. Satisfies both the domain/company requirement and the name requirement on its own. Type @ to select a variable.
First Name	No	Person's first name. Required (with last_name) unless full_name or linkedin_handle is given. Type @ to select a variable.
Last Name	No	Person's last name. Required (with first_name) unless full_name or linkedin_handle is given. Type @ to select a variable.
Full Name	No	Person's full name, used if first_name/last_name are not known. first_name+last_name give better results. Type @ to select a variable.
Max Duration	No	Max seconds Hunter spends refining the result (3-20, default 10). Longer can improve accuracy. Type @ to select a variable.

Verify Email

Check whether one email address is deliverable.

Count Domain Emails

Count known email addresses for a domain, by department and seniority.

Field	Required	Description
Domain	No	Domain to count known email addresses for, e.g. 'stripe.com'. Provide this OR company. Type @ to select a variable.
Company	No	Company name, if domain is not known. Type @ to select a variable.
Type	No	Count only 'personal' or only 'generic' email addresses. Type @ to select a variable.

Email Insight

Read deliverability signals for an email address without a full verification.

Find Company Domain

Resolve a company name to its likely domain.

Field	Required	Description
Company	Yes	Required. Company name to resolve into a domain, e.g. 'stripe' or 'Y Combinator'. At least 3 characters. Type @ to select a variable.
Limit	No	Max number of candidate domains to return (1-10, default 5). Type @ to select a variable.
Perfect Match	No	Set true to return only very-high-similarity matches (useful for a single confident answer instead of a candidate list). Default false. Type @ to select a variable.

Discover Companies

Find companies from a description or structured filters.

Field	Required	Description
Query	No	Natural-language description of target companies, e.g. 'Companies in Europe in the Tech Industry'. Required unless at least one structured filter below is set. Type @ to select a variable.
Organization	No	('domain': [...]) and/or ('name': [...]) to select specific companies. Type @ to select a variable.
Headquarters Location	No	('include': [...], 'exclude': [...]), each entry ('continent'/'business_region'/'country'(+'state'+'city')). Type @ to select a variable.
Industry	No	('include': [...], 'exclude': [...]) of industry names (see Hunter's industries.json for valid values). Type @ to select a variable.
Headcount	No	List of employee-count buckets to include, e.g. ['1-10','11-50']. Valid values: 1-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-500, 501-1000, 1001-5000, 5001-10000, 10001+. Type @ to select a variable.

Find reachable people using the same filters as Discover Companies.

Search people across companies that match a set of filters.

Location	No	Comma-delimited ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code(s), e.g. 'US,GB'. Type @ to select a variable.
Industry	No	Comma-delimited numeric industry ID(s) from Hunter's industries.json (NOT names — this differs from Discover's industry filter). Type @ to select a variable.
Technology	No	Comma-delimited technology slug(s) from technologies.json. Type @ to select a variable.
Headcount	No	Comma-delimited headcount bucket(s): 1-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-500, 501-1000, 1001-5000, 5001-10000, 10001+. Type @ to select a variable.

Decision Maker	No	Set true to restrict to likely decision-makers. Unlike Domain Search, there is no 'non-decision-makers' mode here — a falsy value is simply ignored. Type @ to select a variable.
Verification Status	No	Comma-delimited verification status filter: valid, accept_all, unknown. Type @ to select a variable.
Required Field	No	Comma-delimited field(s) every returned row must have: full_name, position, phone_number. Type @ to select a variable.
Min Confidence	No	Minimum confidence score, 2-100. Type @ to select a variable.
Limit	No	Max rows to return per page (default and max 100). Type @ to select a variable.
Search After	No	Pagination cursor from a previous call's meta.next_search_after. Omit for the first page. This endpoint does NOT support offset-based pagination. Type @ to select a variable.

Reveal Email

Reveal the email address for a handle returned by Search Across Companies.

Handles	Yes	Required. Up to 100 reveal_handle values from a hunter_multi_domain_search response. This spends 1 Hunter.io credit per personal email revealed (all generic addresses on one domain share a single credit) and is confirmation-gated. Type @ to select a variable.
